Resume Review and Critique
Do you know that your resume should be tailored for each job you are applying for?
Your resume has to demonstrate that you have all qualifications required to do a job
you are applying for and that there is a close match between your education, skills, and
experience and the job requirements.
The above considerations may seem obvious. Yet, it has been our experience that,
although many job applicants have all it takes to do a job well, they simply do not know
how to analyze and to weigh the significance of either the job requirements or their own
education and experience. And here is where we can help.
We will review your resume Vs requirements of the job you are applying for. Our
suggestions will improve your chances of getting an interview. To see how it works, visit job search 21
Cover Letter Review and Critique
Too many of our highly accomplished clients have thought that a cover letter is a
totally superfluous appendix to their resume. Why bother? Would not a form letter, saying
something like "Attached please find my resume. I would like that job. I feel I am
fully qualified. I am available for an interview", work just fine?
Sadly enough, generic cover letters are what most people send along with their resumes,
which all too often are also generic. But generic cover letters are about as effective as
junk mail is; they cannot do a thing to improve your chances of having your resume
reviewed. A thoughtfully written cover letter may be very effective in helping an employer
to single out your resume as very promising.
Your cover letter should highlight your resume. The cover letter needs to say a
bit about a job you are applying for and about why you see a good fit between yourself and
the job, i.e. all the things you have done that may help you to do the job well. You cover
letter cannot be just a sales pitch. And should it happen so that you know the addressee,
just just forget about the fact that you know that person. Think of the person who has
never met you.
Make this person want to read your resume.
Generic letters never do this trick.

Interview Skills Coaching
To get an interview for a job, you need a very good resume, which is tailored to
requirements of the job, and a very good cover letter, which highlights your resume and
shows how well your experience matches the job requirements. But to get a job, you need to
develop good interviewing skills. But how?
To develop good interviewing skills, you need to have some feedback on how well you do
in your interviews. Well, this is easier said than done. Surely, if interviewers ever gave
their honest feedback to their interviewees, soon enough all job applicants would have
acquired great interviewing skills. Since this is not going to happen, a mock up interview
session may be the next best thing in so far as the acquisition of good interviewing
skills is concerned.
We provide coaching and feedback via mock up interview sessions. To see how it works,

However, please note that unless you are applying for a job which does not require your
physical presence for an interview, you should find a local coach, who can observe you
during a mock interview. If you wonder why this is so, the answer is simple. Telecommuting
jobs and telecommuting interviews do not need any input about your physical presence. For
those jobs and interviews, it is not important whether your body language reveals to your
prospective employer something less than s/he considers positive.
